Busy bee

I've been traveling quite a bit during the past few weeks. First it was a day trip to Malacca with Joyce, then to Redang with friends and then to Bangkok with my cousin. As my mum nicely sums it up, she says I'm a person with eight feet. But all the trips have been fun and tiring at the same time.

Malacca Trip
This is the first time I've been to Malacca in the last 10 years or more. The place has really changed since the last time I went there when I was a kid. Many tall buildings and malls have been built but at the same time, much of the historical tourist attraction still remains. We met up with XX and went taking pictures around the city. Joyce even brought her big ass professional camera for the occasion. The best part of Malacca has to be the FOOD!!! We had cendol and satay celup (TWICE! If Oscar is reading this I know he's gonna be so jealous)

Redang Trip

The bus ride was sooooooooooooooooooo long!!!!! It took us 8 hours of torture to arrive there and I couldn't sleep much in the bus because it was so cold and uncomfortable. Upon checking into our hotel and after a couple hours of rest, we went snorkeling. At night we went to look for blue sand. Redang looks the same but at the same time different from the last time I was there which was about 2 and a half years ago. It's much dirtier and they have clubs now. This is my first time going clubbing in shorts and slippers without any care in the world. Being able to do that was fun and hilarious at the same time. It was an outdoor club and the music was good until they started with their Chinese la-la songs (lei lou tau sok K??OMG!) . We went snorkeling twice the following day and at night the gang buried me in sand! EWWWWW!!!! Pauling and I got sick the last night there so it was quite sucky. We went to the city of Terengganu to wait for our bus back so we walked around Chinatown. I was surprised there was a Chinatown and Chinese people living in Terengganu. Call me shallow but it's true! Overall it was a fun trip just being there with my friends and we manage to cam whore quite a lot. Here are some pictures from the not so beautiful Redang.
On the way there!!!

Thailand Trip
After months of 'planning' and anticipation, our Thailand trip was finally here. It was my chance to travel with my cousin Mik Yin and also meet my best friend Nuk during my AFS student exchange program in Japan. This reunion was sweet because we haven't met in almost 4 years. She's still as sweet and cute as before (only much too thin) and we stayed with her for two nights while she showed us around Bangkok. I met up with my friend Ike after that and we stayed with him for the remaining time. He also took us to see the ancient city Ayutthaya. It was a fun and tiring trip. I manage to shop a lot as well as eat a lot of spicy food and visit beautiful temples, all in the short span of 4 days. I also met up with some of my friends I got to know in US and overall it was a memorable trip. Here are some pictures from our trip to Bangkok. Sawadeeka!
